We were up in Melbourne last Saturday to do a bit of shopping. On the way there, we stopped by Seddon Deadly Sins cafe in Footscray for our brekkie. Finding a parking space was easy as there are plenty of free 2P parking lots around the area. As soon as we walked into the cafe, we were greeted by a friendly waiter, he ushered us to our table, and took our drinks order. We were then given a menu and it took me quite a while to decide what I wanted to eat as every item on the menu sounds very interesting and yummy. In the end, I decided to go with the Spanish eggs while Mr. D ordered the croquettes from the specials.
I was extremely pleased with their speedy service. Our coffee arrived pretty fast although the place was reasonably busy. The coffee here was decent although not spectacularly strong. I was really hungry that morning and thankfully the food came out quickly too. Mr. D’s smoked cod haloumi croquettes was a bit underwhelming. The croquettes were not crispy enough and hence the dish sort of lacked of textures, it’s was quite mushy. Also, we couldn’t taste the smoked cod in the dish. However, the 2 poached eggs were perfectly cooked.

Spanish eggs.
I thoroughly enjoy my Spanish eggs. The combo of thick luscious tomato salsa, thin slices of chorizo and runny egg yolks were mouth watering good. The only downside was the 2 slices of sourdough bread was not enough to mop up the wonderful sauce. It would be great to have another extra slice. 😛 If you’re looking for a place to spice up your breakfast, I would suggest you give this cafe a go. I’m definitely going back to try their pancakes and beer battered haloumi.
